The Starttipaja workshop is for young people aged 17 to 29 who are currently without work or a training placement.
A personal plan and set of goals are devised for the workshop period for each young person. Activities include seeking out further education and work placement options, as well as supporting their life management and social skills.
Workshops can be in 3 to 6 month intervals, with lunch on a daily basis as well as labour market financial support.
It is possible to get acquainted with the workshop before signing up. A visit can be agreed in advance with a workshop supervisor.
For further information about the start-up workshops, contact an instructor, outreach youth worker, social worker or an Employment and Economic Development Office (TE) worker.
