The objective of environmental health care is to protect the health and safety of the living environment for humans and animals. The tasks of environmental health care include food control, tobacco control, quality control of drinking water and bathing water, housing and veterinary care.

The City of Tampere organises the environmental health services of Tampere, Kangasala, Pälkäne, Orivesi, Juupajoki, Valkeakoski, Aka and Urjala as hosts. More information can be found on the City of Tampere's own environmental health care  webpages.

 

Lost and Stray Animals

The Boondock animal centre in Orivesi should be contacted if you find a lost or stray animal.
